Madam Musayeroh Barrie returned to Sierra Leone from the UK in 2010 having completed a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Brunel University UK. She later acquired a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Leicester UK and a Diploma from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) UK in Strategic Management and Leadership Practices. Her coursework encompassed areas such as Developing Organizational Strategy, Strategic Data Management and Marketing Strategies.

Upon her return to Sierra Leone, Madam Barrie has held various senior management roles in industries including Mining and Aviation. Her passion for the Aviation Industry was ignited in 2013, leading her to participate in various aviation-related training programmes notably the Aviation Security Professional Managers Course (AVSEC PM) conducted by the University of Concordia in conjunction with ICAO.

Madam Barrie possesses extensive knowledge of Sierra Leone’s aviation environment, having served as the Country Director for Westminster Aviation Security Services (WASS), an international aviation security provider, for over a decade. During her tenure as the Country Director for WASS she played a pivotal role in the successful execution of airport security operations at Freetown International Airport. Furthermore, she closely collaborated with the relevant State authorities to prepare for the ICAO Security Audit in 2019 resulting in Sierra Leone achieving a commendable pass mark of 71%.
