SLCAA TRAINS AERODROME FIRE FIGHTING PERSONNEL TO ENHANCE SAFETY AND RESPONSE CAPABILITIES

The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA), in collaboration with the Freetown International Airport (FIA Ltd), has successfully conducted a comprehensive training program for its Aerodrome Fire Fighting Personnel. The training, which focused on both Basic Aerodrome Fire Fighting and Structural Fire Fighting, was designed to ensure that all personnel meet the training requirements outlined in SLCAR Part 14A and are well-prepared to respond effectively to structural fires within the aerodrome.

Training Highlights:

The primary objective of this training was to enhance the skills, knowledge, and preparedness of firefighting personnel in maintaining the highest level of safety within Sierra Leone’s aerodromes. The training covered various aspects of fire safety, response techniques, and operational readiness, ensuring that personnel are equipped to handle emergencies effectively.
