SIERRA LEONES SIGNED A BILATERAL AIR SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA AT THE 5TH ICAO AIR SERVICE NEGOTIATION (ICAN2023)- 3RD DECEMBER, 2023.

Sierra Leone and The Kingdom of Saudi became the first countries to sign ASA, at ICAN2023. The five-day event which is hosted by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia started on the 3rd of December 2023.

This event provides States with a central meeting place to conduct bilateral, regional or plurilateral air services negotiations and consultations, as well as networking opportunities for policymakers, regulators, air operators, service providers and other stakeholders.

The Minister of Transport and Aviation, Mr. Fanday Turay, in his speech said; “Our Republic is currently the shining star to how far a people and country can go if they put in the necessary work.”
