SLCAA Concludes FASAP-RAMP Onsite Training for Safety Inspectors.
The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA) has successfully concluded a five-day FASAP-RAMP Onsite Training for Safety Inspectors, held from 9–13 February 2026 at the Freetown International Airport (FIA) Conference Room.

The intensive training programme was designed to strengthen the technical capacity of SLCAA Safety Inspectors, with a strong focus on ramp inspection procedures, aircraft ground safety oversight, and compliance with international aviation standards. Throughout the training, participants engaged in both theoretical and practical sessions, gaining updated knowledge, hands-on inspection techniques, and enhanced regulatory awareness critical to effective oversight of aircraft operations.

The programme forms part of SLCAA’s broader strategy to continuously build the competence of its personnel and ensure robust safety monitoring systems within Sierra Leone’s aviation sector. By equipping inspectors with modern tools and global best practices, the Authority is reinforcing its ability to maintain high safety standards across all aspects of aircraft operations.

The training concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony, recognizing the successful participation and commitment of the inspectors. This milestone underscores SLCAA’s dedication to capacity building and operational excellence.
SLCAA remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting aviation safety, strengthening regulatory frameworks, and aligning with international best practices to ensure the continued safety and confidence of the travelling public.
